Curtis “MHT” Schrum
I often say I wear a lot of hats, and I mean it.
I started working on Magento in 2014 at Classy Llama in Springfield, Missouri. I worked as an engineer on a great many projects, Gardner, Leisure Arts, GAHH, and Northern Arizona Wind and Sun among them. In 2018 I moved to Nucleus Commerce; While there, I worked with clients like Splat Hair Color, Martin Dingman, and many others. I made a transition to Weidenhammer at the start of the new year.
At Weidenhammer, I took the role of a Senior Developer and soon was a Magento Technical Lead. Gaining two certifications in the first six months during my time at Weidenhammer, I quickly took on several large projects. Gertrude Hawk Chocolates, New Country Organics, Ford Medical, All Sports America, and Wallquest, among many others.
In 2019 I wrote a Python Payroll processor for a non-profit out of Seattle. Sadly it has closed its doors due to COVID-19. Since then, I have been focusing on the eCommerce world, and it’s emerging trends.
In 2020, as a favor to a friend, I joined the Formula Chemicals board of directors as their Chief Technology Officer (Pro Bono), where I oversee the varied and wide-ranging world of shipping chemical additives across the globe in addition to my regular job.
In July 2020, I left my role at Weidenhammer for a new role as Director of Engineering at Trellis Commerce.
Outside of work, I am a time management evangelist and professional development coach. I have helped several individuals overcome complacency, spark new interest in their lives, and accomplish new heights in their professional careers.
I have been streaming and creating YouTube content since 2016; my presence is generally felt on Twitch more than YouTube these days. I have made friends with some of the most massive streamers in the United States and the United Kingdom. These friendships have allowed me to pepper them with questions; I see streaming as just a hobby for me as I have a career I love.
I have been writing fiction since I was eleven years old, I am not very good at it, but I enjoy telling stories. Something I am far more accomplished at is being a Dungeon Master which I started in 1998 and have never stopped.
I am also heavily involved in the fitness community as I have been working on a multi-year body transformation of my own. I am not an expert in this field by any means, so I do not offer advice here, but it is an interest of mine.
I am active in the local music scene where I live, maintaining the website for Sounds of Springfield, as well as trying to play guitar.
